Product Identity

Tapecase 15D620 is a conformable PTFE film tape supplied in a tan colour. The roll measures six inches wide by thirty-six yards long and carries a six-mil thickness. It is intended for surface protection tasks that demand high-temperature resistance.

Temperature Capability

The silicone adhesive and PTFE backing are rated for continuous use up to five hundred degrees Fahrenheit. This single thermal limit determines whether the tape survives the intended process without degrading or leaving residue.

Fit and Alternatives

Engineers needing a wide, thin barrier for extreme heat will find the dimensions and temperature rating suitable. Buyers who require a lower-temperature adhesive, a different backing material, or a narrower roll width should evaluate other options.

Questions about this item

How does a 6 mil PTFE film with silicone adhesive behave once it is applied inside a real machine?

The 6 mil PTFE backing conforms to uneven surfaces while the silicone adhesive holds at temperatures up to 500 °F, providing a non-stick barrier that resists tearing during installation.

What does the PTFE backing and silicone adhesive combination actually cap in practice?

The PTFE surface withstands continuous exposure up to 500 °F without degrading, while the silicone adhesive maintains bond strength across the same range, limiting use to applications that stay within that thermal ceiling.

What physical space and mounting method does a 6 in by 36 yd roll of this tape require?

The roll measures 6 inches wide and 36 yards long, so it fits standard industrial dispensers and can be hand-applied or machine-fed onto flat or curved surfaces without special tooling.
