Blue Painter's Tape for Clean Edges

This half-inch by sixty-yard roll of blue crepe-paper masking tape is built for painters, contractors and DIYers who need sharp lines on glass, metal, powder-coated surfaces and wood. The rubber adhesive holds firmly yet releases cleanly for up to fourteen days.

Replaces General-Purpose Masking Tapes

Standard tan masking tapes often leave residue or tear when pulled after a few days. This formulation resists adhesive transfer for two weeks and withstands temperatures up to four hundred degrees Fahrenheit, making it the right step up when a job demands longer exposure or heat cycles.

Fits Standard Dispensers and Tool Bags

The continuous roll feeds smoothly from common hand-held dispensers and occupies minimal space in a tool bag or workbench drawer. Its narrow width suits detail work such as trim, window mullions and cabinet edges, freeing wider rolls for broad surface protection.

Questions about this item

Will the .5 in width fit standard trim and window frames?

The .5 in roll covers narrow trim, window muntins and hardware edges without overlapping onto glass or walls.

How do I apply the crepe paper backing so it seals cleanly on powder coated paint?

Press the tape firmly with a putty knife after laying it down; the rubber adhesive needs full contact to prevent bleed on smooth coatings.

When should I replace a roll that has been stored near a 400 degree F heat source?

Discard any roll exposed to temperatures at or above 400 degrees F because the rubber adhesive will lose its 26 oz/in bond strength.
