Double-Sided Foam Tape for Assembly

Tapecase VF32W is a white vinyl foam tape supplied on a continuous roll for indoor and outdoor assembly, manufacturing and general maintenance tasks. The adhesive bonds to a variety of surfaces and the foam core helps fill gaps between irregular parts.

Temperature Range and Liner Included

The tape performs continuously from 20 degrees F to 150 degrees F, so it remains flexible in cold conditions and stable under moderate heat. A protective liner is included to keep the adhesive clean until the moment of application.

Upgrade from Single-Sided or Thinner Tapes

Switching to this double-sided foam construction replaces single-sided tapes when bonding two surfaces without mechanical fasteners is preferred. The jump is worth it when a conformable bond line and a 1/32 inch thickness improve sealing or vibration damping.

Questions about this item

How do I apply the Tapecase VF32W tape so the adhesive bonds properly?

Clean both surfaces, then press the 1/2 in wide tape firmly along its full length; the step often missed is removing the liner before positioning the foam.

Will the foam or adhesive degrade and need replacement over time?

The vinyl foam stays flexible between 20 and 150 degrees F, so it only needs replacing if it physically tears or the bond fails.

What is the first limit I hit when the tape is under constant load?

The 1/32 in foam thickness compresses first, reducing gap-filling ability before the adhesive reaches its 150 degree F limit.
