Lightweight Economy Cover

This 12 ft by 12 ft polyethylene tarp weighs 2.9 oz per square foot and measures 5 mil thick. It is built for general-purpose protection of roofs, woodpiles and outdoor furniture. The blue finish is waterproof and treated against acid, tear and rot damage. UV treatment on both sides helps the material resist sun degradation.

Grommet Spacing and Cut Size

Aluminium grommets appear every 36 inches along the edges and at each corner for tie-down flexibility. The listed dimensions are cut size, so the finished tarp will measure 6 inches or 3 to 5 percent shorter after hemming. Plan your coverage area with that reduction in mind.

No Extra Accessories Included

The product ships as the tarp alone without ropes, bungee cords or repair patches. You supply the fasteners that suit your anchoring points. The UV treatment and waterproof coating are the only built-in features that change long-term performance.

Questions about this item

How long can the tarp stay in direct sunlight before the polyethylene breaks down?

Both sides are UV treated to resist degradation during extended outdoor exposure.

Will the aluminium grommets or the fabric tear first if the tarp flaps in high wind all day?

Grommets are spaced every 36 inches along reinforced edges to distribute stress across the 8 x 10 weave.

Does the finished cover measure exactly 12 ft by 12 ft, or do I need to allow for the cut-size reduction?

Cut size means the finished tarp will be 6 inches or 3 to 5 percent shorter in each direction.
