Heavy-duty silver tarp for outdoor cover

This 6 by 10 foot silver tarp is made from 6.0-ounce UV-treated polyethylene that is waterproof, mildew, acid and tear resistant. It blocks 100 percent of sun rays to keep covered items cooler in direct sunlight. Reinforced with rustproof aluminum grommets spaced every 18 inches for secure tie-downs. Cut size measures 6 inches or 3-5 percent shorter than the listed dimensions.

Suited for covering vehicles, firewood.

Ideal for anyone needing a durable, sun-blocking cover for cars, boats, patio sets or temporary shade at campsites and picnics. Not for buyers who require the exact finished dimensions stated in the title. Not for applications needing a heavier fabric weight or a different colour finish.

Grommets every 18 inches change how you secure

The close spacing provides many attachment points so the cover stays tight in wind without extra hardware. The 100 percent sun-blocking surface removes the need for separate shade cloths. Cut-size allowance means you must plan tie-down positions for a slightly smaller sheet than expected.

Questions about this item

What tie-down points does the 6' x 10' tarp provide for securing it?

Rustproof aluminum grommets are spaced approximately every 18 inches along the edges and at each corner, giving multiple attachment points for ropes or bungee cords.

Will the silver polyethylene material degrade if left in direct sunlight for long periods?

The tarp is UV-treated and blocks 100 percent of sun rays, so it resists degradation and provides reliable shade in prolonged sunlight.

How can I confirm the tarp is performing as expected after I set it up?

Verify that no light passes through the silver fabric, that water beads and runs off the surface, and that all grommets hold firmly when tension is applied.
