15 ft by 40 ft super heavy duty tarp

This 15 ft by 40 ft polyethylene tarp is built for continuous outdoor exposure. It suits property owners, campers and contractors who need a finished-size cover that resists water, acid and tearing across large areas.

16 mil thickness with 16x16 weave

The 16 mil thick fabric weighs 8.0 ounces per square yard and uses a 16x16 weave count laminated on both sides. This construction stays flexible in arctic-like conditions while blocking moisture and UV damage during normal use.

Rustproof aluminium grommets every 18 inches

Grommets spaced approximately every 18 inches and at reinforced corners give multiple tie-down options without rust risk. Reinforced hems add strength at stress points, so the tarp holds fast when securing firewood, boats or equipment.

Questions about this item

How do I secure this 15 ft x 40 ft tarp using the grommets spaced every 18 inches?

Thread rope or bungee cords through the rustproof aluminum grommets placed approximately every 18 inches along the perimeter and at reinforced corners. Pull tension evenly across all points to prevent wind from lifting the 16 mil polyethylene sheet.

What maintenance does the UV-treated polyethylene need for continuous outdoor use?

Rinse dirt and debris with water periodically. Inspect the 16x16 weave fabric and reinforced hem for abrasion after storms. The brown polyethylene is acid and tear resistant, so no chemical treatments are required to maintain waterproof performance.

At what point does the 8 oz per square yard material show wear under constant sun and wind exposure?

The UV-treated polyethylene resists degradation, but prolonged tension on the 16 mil thickness can eventually stress the 16x16 weave at grommet holes. Replace the tarp when tears appear near reinforced corners or the brown coating loses water repellency.
