16' x 20' High-Visibility Orange Poly Tarp

This 16' x 20' orange polyethylene tarp provides waterproof, acid, tear and mildew resistant coverage for woodpiles, outdoor furniture and equipment. Its high-visibility colour and UV treatment make it easy to spot and durable in sunlight. The 3.3 oz per square foot weight keeps it lightweight for handling and creative outdoor decorating.

7-8 Mil Thickness Under Sustained Exposure

The 7-8 mil construction resists tearing and mildew during long-term outdoor use, while the waterproof and acid-resistant coating maintains protection through repeated weather cycles. UV treatment slows degradation from constant sun exposure, keeping the tarp functional for extended periods. Grommets spaced every 36 inches and at the corners distribute tie-down tension evenly across the sheet.

Grommet Spacing and Cut-Size Allowance

Brass grommets placed every 36 inches and at each corner allow straightforward tie-down with rope or bungee cords using common hardware. The tarp is sold as a cut size, so the finished dimensions measure 6 inches or 3-5% shorter than the listed 16' x 20' after hemming. Buyers who need exact finished measurements should account for this reduction before purchasing.

Questions about this item

Does the 3.3 oz poly material trap heat or make noise when left in the sun all day?

The lightweight 3.3 oz polyethylene stays flexible and quiet in heat; it is UV treated for durability and does not stiffen or flap loudly like heavier canvas tarps.

What tie-down hardware do I already need to secure the grommets spaced every 36 inches?

You will need rope, bungee cords or straps that fit through standard grommets; the tarp provides grommets every 36 inches and at each corner for multiple attachment points.

Will the finished 16 x 20 tarp still cover the same footprint as my old 16 x 20 canvas tarp?

Because this is a cut size, the final dimensions measure 6 inches or 3-5 % shorter than 16 x 20, so it will be slightly smaller than a true 16 x 20 tarp.
