12x16 ft Heavy-Duty Tarp

The Yescom 12x16 ft tarp provides a large waterproof shelter for outdoor equipment, vehicles, and building materials. It serves homeowners, campers, and contractors who need reliable coverage against rain, sun, and dust. The silver and black reversible design reflects heat to keep covered areas cooler during summer months.

14-mil Thickness and Reinforced Edges

This tarp uses 100% virgin PE material with triple-coated lamination for double-sided waterproof and UV resistance. The 14-mil heavy-duty construction weighs 8.64Lbs and features aluminum grommets spaced at 3 1/4 ft intervals for secure tie-downs. PP plastic capped corners and seamless edges prevent tearing and water leakage during extended use.

Upgrade from Lightweight Covers

Buyers replacing thin disposable sheeting gain a reusable barrier rated for up to 3 years of anti-aging performance. The reinforced grommet spacing and capped corners solve the tearing common with basic tarps in windy conditions. It is not suited for buyers needing permanent structural roofing or fire-retardant certified materials for regulated job sites.

Questions about this item

How do I secure the 12x16 ft tarp using the aluminum grommets spaced every 3 1/4 ft?

Thread rope or bungee cords through each aluminum grommet along the perimeter and at the reinforced corners, pulling evenly to avoid stress on any single point; the 14-mil thickness and PP-capped corners resist tearing at tie-down spots.

What maintenance will the 14-mil PE tarp need during its 3-year outdoor lifespan?

Rinse off dirt and debris periodically with water; check grommets and corner caps for corrosion or cracking after storms, and patch small tears immediately with poly repair tape to maintain waterproofing and UV resistance.

What is the first limit that appears when the tarp is left tensioned in sun and wind for weeks?

The 14-mil virgin PE material and triple-coated lamination resist UV degradation for up to 3 years, but prolonged high tension combined with constant wind flutter will cause grommet hole elongation and corner stress before the fabric itself fails.
