Heavy-Duty Silver Tarp 7 x 10

This heavy-duty silver polyethylene tarp measures seven by ten feet and weighs 6.0 ounces per square yard. It is built for owners who need reliable waterproof coverage for vehicles, boats, firewood or patio furniture. The material resists mildew, acid and tearing in direct sunlight, rain or snow. It is not suited for buyers who need a precise finished dimension matching the nominal size.

Cut-Size Limitation and Grommet Spacing

The tarp is cut size and will measure approximately six inches or three to five percent shorter than the stated dimensions. Rustproof aluminium grommets are placed roughly every 18 inches along the edges and at each corner for tie-down points. This spacing fixes the maximum interval between anchor lines. Users who require exact edge-to-edge coverage or a different grommet pitch should look elsewhere.

100 Percent Sunlight Blockage

The silver coating on both sides blocks 100 percent of the sun's rays, keeping covered items and the area underneath cooler. This single specification decides whether the tarp meets the need for full shade or UV protection. If a project demands partial light transmission or a different colour, this product will not fit the requirement.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 7' x 10' size or a different cut for my project?

The listed 7' x 10' is the cut size, so the finished tarp measures roughly 6 inches or 3-5% shorter on each side; choose a larger nominal size if you need the full 7 by 10 feet of coverage.

How well does the 100% sun-block claim hold up when the tarp is stretched over a frame?

The silver polyethylene blocks 100 percent of sun rays on both faces, so shade remains complete even when the material is tensioned across a structure.

What does the 12 mil thickness actually stop in everyday use?

At 11-12 mil thick and 6.0 oz per square yard, the fabric resists tearing, mildew, acid and water while the rustproof aluminum grommets spaced every 18 inches provide secure tie-down points.
