Product Identity

This 2.0MP 1080P HD-TVI bullet camera is built for home owners and small-business operators who need a hard-wired surveillance unit that connects to an existing analog DVR. It serves indoor and outdoor positions where a single fixed-lens view covers the required area.

Compatibility Limits

The camera works with 720P, 1080P, 5MP and 4K HD-TVI, AHD and CVI analog DVRs but will not function with 960H DVRs. Video travels over a BNC coaxial link so a separate CCTV cable and power supply must be provided; the camera cannot operate on its own.

Deciding Specification

Night vision reaches 80ft in total darkness and 120ft in ambient light using 24 IR LEDs and an automatic IR-CUT filter that switches to colour when illumination exceeds 3.0 lux.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 720P or 1080P DVR mode for this 2.0MP camera?

The camera outputs 1080P via HD-TVI; choose a DVR that supports 1080P HD-TVI, AHD or CVI for full resolution. 720P DVRs will downscale the image.

What does the 80ft night-vision figure mean once the camera is mounted?

In total darkness the 24 IR LEDs illuminate up to 80ft; with ambient light the range extends to 120ft, and colour is captured above 3.0Lux.

The BNC connection — which analogue standard does it use and what does that cap?

It uses HD-TVI over coaxial BNC, compatible with 720P, 1080P, 5MP and 4K HD-TVI/AHD/CVI DVRs; 960H DVRs are not supported.
