12-port Cat6 patch panel for 10-inch racks

This 0.5U panel mounts in 10-inch server cabinets and DeskPi RackMate enclosures. It provides twelve Cat6 straight-through ports for copper cabling. The panel ships with two screws and two washers for installation.

Suits small racks needing twelve copper links

Builders who need Cat6A performance or more than twelve ports should select a different panel. The unit fits only 10-inch wide racks and does not support fibre or higher-category copper.

Twelve Cat6 ports in a half-height 10-inch panel

The single deciding specification is the twelve-port Cat6 density in a 0.5U, 10-inch form factor. If the rack width or port count differs, this panel will not fit the design.

Questions about this item

Is this 12 port 10 inch .5U patch panel the only CAT6 option for the DeskPi RackMate series?

The panel is built for Cat6 straight-through wiring in a 10 inch .5U form factor with 12 pre-numbered ports. For Cat6A cable needs the supplier points to a separate ASIN.

What does the 12 port count mean when the panel is mounted in a 10 inch rack?

Twelve sequential ports fit in a .5U high panel, giving one rack unit of density for up to twelve Cat6 links without drilling the cabinet.

How does the CAT6 rating limit the installed cable performance?

The panel is specified for Cat6 straight-through connections, so installed links are capped at the Cat6 channel bandwidth and distance limits.
