Product Identity

This TAURKENAM cantilever rack shelf comes as a 2-pack of 1U units designed for 19-inch racks. Each shelf provides a 17.5-inch wide by 10-inch deep usable surface with a 55lbs weight capacity. The vented steel construction suits network gear such as routers, modems and UPS systems.

Upgrade Path

The shelves replace fixed-depth trays or makeshift brackets that limit airflow and equipment placement. The cantilever design is worth choosing when front-only mounting is required and rear rails are absent or obstructed. EIA/ECA-310 compliance ensures fit with standard rack spacing.

Fit and Limits

The pair suits installers who need two identical shallow shelves for light-to-medium devices in a 1U footprint. Buyers needing deeper surfaces, higher load ratings, rear-supported mounting or sliding rails should look at alternative shelf types.

Questions about this item

How much clearance does the 14in deep cantilever shelf need behind the front mounting rails?

The shelf extends 10in behind the rails, so allow at least that depth inside the cabinet for the shelf and cables.

Which hardware should I use first when mounting the shelf to square-hole rails?

Snap the M6 cage nuts into the rails, then fasten the M6 screws with the plastic washers to secure the shelf.

Will the black powder-coated finish need any upkeep to stay corrosion-resistant?

The electro-static coating is durable; just wipe dust off the vented surface occasionally to maintain airflow and appearance.
