Solar-powered wireless surveillance

The TAURKENAM camera operates entirely without cables by drawing energy from its integrated solar panel and rechargeable battery. It connects to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and is managed through the Vicohome app. This design suits homeowners who want a quick outdoor setup without running power or data lines.

Continuous operation under sunlight

As long as the solar panel receives adequate daylight, the battery maintains charge and the camera remains active around the clock. The 355° horizontal and 100° vertical rotation lets the lens follow activity across a wide area without blind spots. PIR motion detection filters out small animals and insects to reduce false alerts.

Weatherproof housing and temperature range

An IP65 rating protects the internals from dust and water jets in rain or snow. The unit is rated to function from -4°F to 131°F, so it stays operational through freezing winters and hot summers. Built-in spotlight and color night vision provide clear footage after dark without external lighting.

Questions about this item

How does the battery hold up when the camera pans 355° horizontally and 100° vertically all day?

The solar panel recharges the battery continuously in sunlight, so the PTZ movement draws power that the panel replaces during daylight hours.

What must I already have at home for this camera to connect and record?

You need a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and the Vicohome app on a smartphone to set up, view and store footage.

Will the IP65 housing and -4°F to 131°F range survive the same winters my older wired cameras endure?

Yes, the IP65 rating and the stated temperature span match typical outdoor wired camera specifications, so it handles the same conditions.
