Five-Fan Rack Cooling Kit

This 23.6-inch fan tray holds five 120 mm dual-ball-bearing fans and mounts in 2U, 3U or 4U server racks. Each fan delivers 85 CFM of exhaust airflow while the included speed controller lets you adjust output from 4 V to 12 V DC via a 7.7 ft cable. The unit plugs into any 110 V to 240 V AC outlet and runs at 50 Hz or 60 Hz.

Suited for Rack Builds Not Silent Rooms

Installers who need active exhaust for servers, network switches or AV gear in standard rack spaces will fit this tray directly into the cabinet. The noise range of 18 to 37 dBA means it is not appropriate for bedrooms, recording studios or any environment that requires near-silent operation.

Dual Ball Bearings Rated 50000 Hours

The bearing choice determines how long the fans survive continuous duty in a hot rack; these are rated for 50000 hours of operation. If your maintenance window demands a longer rated life or you need intake rather than exhaust airflow, a different fan type will be required.

Questions about this item

How loud are the 5x 85 CFM fans when they run continuously at the 37 dBA maximum?

At full speed the kit reaches 37 dBA, while the low-speed setting drops to 18 dBA, so all-day operation stays within that 18 to 37 dBA range.

What power source and controller connections do I need on site before installing the 23.6 inch rack kit?

The controller plugs into any 110V to 240V 50/60Hz outlet and outputs DC 4V to 12V 2A over a 7.7 ft cable to the fan tray.

Will the 23.6 inch width and exhaust airflow fit my existing 2U, 3U or 4U rack without modification?

The tray is sized at 23.6 inches for standard 2U, 3U and 4U rack spaces and uses an exhaust design that aligns with typical cabinet airflow.
