What the kit provides
This kit contains two Hitron HTEM4 MoCA 2.5 adapters and two coaxial cables. It is built for homes that already have coax wiring and want a wired backbone for mesh Wi-Fi, streaming boxes or gaming consoles without pulling new Ethernet cable.
What the bundled items change
The included coax cables remove the need to source separate F-type leads, so the MoCA link can be completed straight from the box. Each adapter converts the existing coax plant into a 2.5 Gbps MoCA pipe that delivers up to 1 Gbps Ethernet to attached devices, and the pair supports up to 16 nodes on the same segment.
Installation experience
Setup is plug-and-play: connect an adapter to a coax outlet and to the router or access point, then repeat at the far end; the two units negotiate the link automatically. The main friction point is that every outlet used must be on the same continuous coax run and free of legacy splitters or filters that block MoCA frequencies.
How it compares
Measured against everything we stock in Coaxial RF & Antenna Cables, at today’s prices. Recalculated every night.
- Price $155.99
- Pricier than about 91% of the 201 comparable items (median $20.99).

Questions about this item
Will the F-type connectors on these cables need periodic replacement?
The cables use standard F-type connectors that are rated for the life of the installation; no scheduled connector replacement is required.
What bandwidth ceiling appears first when all 16 MoCA nodes are active?
The shared 2.5 Gbps MoCA backbone is the first limit reached when all 16 devices transmit simultaneously.
How much heat do the two HTEM4 adapters produce during continuous operation?
The HTEM4 adapters run passively with no fan; they stay warm to the touch but do not add measurable heat to a room.
