Questions about this item

Does the gas spring need periodic adjustment or replacement as it ages?

The spring system is built into the arm and has no user-serviceable parts; it is designed to hold position continuously without scheduled maintenance.

What stops the arm from extending further when a 32 inch screen is pushed to the 20 inch reach limit?

The arm extends up to 20 inches horizontally; beyond that point the mechanical stops prevent further travel.

Does the clamp or grommet base transmit noticeable vibration or heat to the desk during all-day use?

The mount has no moving parts that generate heat or vibration; it remains passive once the monitor is positioned.
