Home Climate Monitor

The Taylor HTC-1 digital thermometer hygrometer tracks indoor temperature and humidity while displaying the current clock time and date. Its black LCD screen updates readings every ten seconds so you can spot changes at a glance. The unit suits bedrooms, basements, greenhouses or any space where comfort and air quality matter.

Upgrade From Guesswork

Replacing a basic wall thermometer or relying on feel alone, this model adds ±1°F temperature accuracy and ±2–3% RH humidity precision across a 10%–99% range. The jump is worth it when you need to protect instruments, reptiles, plants or stored goods from silent drift that a simple dial cannot reveal.

Steady Readings Over Time

Data refreshes every ten seconds during continuous operation, so trends stay visible rather than freezing on a single snapshot. The kickstand and hanging hole keep the sensor oriented consistently whether the device sits on a shelf or mounts on a wall. Power comes from one AAA battery, which is not included.

Questions about this item

What clearance does the 14.33in W x 12.83in H x 9.06in D unit need on a shelf or wall?

The unit measures 14.33in wide, 12.83in high and 9.06in deep; allow at least that footprint plus a few millimetres for the kickstand or hanging hole.

How do I mount it and which step is often missed?

Insert one AAA battery, choose °C or °F and 12 or 24 hour format, then either unfold the kickstand for vertical placement or use the hanging hole for wall mounting — the battery is not included.

What maintenance will the hygrometer need over time?

Replace the AAA battery when the LCD dims; the sensor refreshes every 10 seconds with ±2–3% RH and ±1°F accuracy, so no calibration is required.
