Taylor TH08Pro Smart Monitor

The Taylor TH08Pro is a WiFi-enabled thermometer hygrometer designed for home, greenhouse, or bedroom climate tracking. It suits users who want remote visibility of temperature and humidity through a smartphone app. The 3.2 inch backlit display provides clear local readings at a glance. Battery operation allows flexible placement without a nearby power outlet.

Sustained Operation Over Time

The device maintains its stated accuracy of ±1°C and ±5% RH across the full 14.2°F to 140°F range during continuous monitoring. Low-battery alerts arrive in the app before readings drift, preserving data reliability over weeks. Historical records are stored for up to 1 year and can be exported for trend analysis. The 2.4GHz WiFi connection remains stable when the unit stays within 10 m of the router.

2.4 GHz WiFi Only Constraint

This monitor connects exclusively to 2.4 GHz networks and will not join a 5 GHz band. Buyers whose routers broadcast only 5 GHz or who disable the 2.4 GHz radio cannot use the remote features. The Smart Life app handles alerts, automation scenes, and family sharing once the WiFi link is established. No other wireless protocol is supported for data transfer.

Questions about this item

Does the 3.2" backlit display stay on continuously or only when touched, and how much power does it draw?

The LED backlight activates on touch to save the three AAA cells; the unit draws minimal current while the display sleeps, so batteries typically last months under normal indoor use.

What must I already have at home for the TH08Pro to connect and send alerts to my phone?

A 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network with a simple alphanumeric SSID and password, the free Smart Life app on iOS or Android, and a Tuya-compatible account for family sharing and scene linkage.

If I keep using my older 2.4 GHz router, will the hygrometer maintain a stable link from another room?

Yes — keep the device within 10 m (32.8 ft) of the router with minimal obstructions; low-battery warnings in the app also prevent unexpected drop-outs.
