Compact indoor climate monitor

The Taylor TS-8080 is a desktop thermometer hygrometer that shows temperature, humidity, time and a comfort indicator on a 3.4-inch LCD. It suits households wanting a quick view of room conditions without a wireless sensor or app.

Passive operation and calibration

The unit runs on AAA batteries and updates readings every 10 seconds across a 14 to 140°F temperature range and 10 to 99% humidity range. Accuracy is rated ±1.8°F and ±5% RH, and a manual offset mode lets you correct drift when needed.

Stand-alone convenience

A built-in stand and wall-mount slot let you place it on a shelf or hang it near a vent. The 12/24-hour clock, calendar with seven language options, alarm and five-minute snooze mean it doubles as a bedside clock without extra cables.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the TS-8080 and what step is often missed?

Place the unit on a flat surface or hang it using the built-in stand; the step often missed is allowing 10 seconds for the first reading to stabilise after power-on.

What maintenance will the TS-8080 need later?

Replace the AAA battery when the display dims or readings drift; the unit has no user-serviceable parts beyond the battery compartment.

What limit appears first during continuous use of the TS-8080?

The operating range stops at 140 °F and 99 % RH; sustained conditions beyond those limits will cause the display to show dashes instead of values.
