Taylor Infrared Thermometer US-HM1-PRO-B

The Taylor US-HM1-PRO-B is a digital hygrometer and thermometer designed for indoor environmental monitoring. It suits homeowners, parents, and hobbyists who need to track temperature and humidity in rooms such as nurseries, greenhouses, or humidors. The device ships new with two AAA batteries and a user manual included.

Thermals noise and power draw

The unit operates passively with no fan, so it produces zero audible noise during use. It draws minimal power from the two included AAA alkaline cells, delivering an estimated 18 to 24 months of continuous operation. The sensor refreshes readings every 5 seconds across a measurement range of -58 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit with a stated accuracy of +/- 2%.

Build quality and mounting

A 3.4 inch backlit LCD presents large digits that remain legible in low light with a single press of the top button. The lightweight body weighs 0.1 kilograms and offers three mounting choices: a hanging hole, a fold-out tabletop stand, and a magnetic back for metal surfaces. This flexibility allows placement on shelves, walls, or refrigerator doors without permanent installation.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the thermometer and which step is often missed?

Choose tabletop stand, hanging hole, or magnet attachment; the magnet requires a ferrous surface, which is the step users forget.

What maintenance will the unit need and when?

Replace the two included AAA alkaline batteries after 18 to 24 months; no other servicing is required.

What limit appears first during continuous operation?

The sensor refreshes every 5 seconds, so rapid temperature swings faster than that interval will not be captured.
