Smart monitoring for home environments

The Taylor IBS-TH3 connects to 2.4GHz WiFi so you can check temperature and humidity from a phone wherever you are. One sensor can be shared by several phones, and a single phone can watch many sensors at once. It suits greenhouses, wine cellars, baby rooms or reptile vivariums.

App tools and power supply

The INKBIRD app provides charts, calibration controls, alarm notifications and low-battery reminders. Data is stored on the server for up to one year and can be exported with recording intervals of 10 or 30 minutes. The unit runs on three AAA batteries which are not included in the box.

Range and limits

Temperature is measured from -20 to 60 degrees Celsius with accuracy of ±0.3 or ±0.5 degrees. Humidity covers 0 to 99 percent RH with ±3 percent accuracy. The device is not waterproof and is not recommended for refrigerator or freezer use. It measures 14.33in W x 12.83in H x 9.06in D and weighs .08 kilograms.

Questions about this item

Will the AAA batteries need frequent replacement?

The monitor runs on three AAA cells; battery life varies with reporting interval and WiFi signal strength, and the app provides a low-battery reminder so you can swap them before readings stop.

What is the first limit reached during continuous monitoring?

The sensor stops measuring at 60 °C or 99 % RH, so sustained exposure beyond those points is the hard boundary for reliable data.

Does the device generate noticeable heat or noise during all-day operation?

It has no fan or moving parts, draws only minimal power from the AAA pack, and remains silent and at ambient temperature while logging.
