A vertical, lockable weatherproof cover for one GFCI receptacle, die-cast metal with an attached gasket and UL listing
The Taymac MX3200 is a single-gang vertical cover built for marine electrical installations. Die-cast metal construction and a polyethylene foam gasket seal the enclosure against moisture and debris. The lockable tab accepts a shackle up to 1/8 inch for added security. It is UL listed and meets NEC standards for wet locations.
The cover is a passive mechanical enclosure with no active cooling, fans or electrical load. It generates no heat and produces no audible noise during operation. Power draw is zero because the unit contains no electronic components. The die-cast metal body simply shields the mounted receptacle from the elements.
Vertical mounting orientation and the included hardware let the cover attach directly to a standard single-gang box. The 3 1/2 inch depth provides space for a GFCI receptacle and wiring behind the lid. The attached gasket eliminates the need for a separate seal, freeing up installation time. Gray finish matches common marine electrical hardware.

Mount the cover vertically using the included hardware, ensure the attached polyethylene foam gasket seats evenly, and secure the lockable tab with a shackle up to 1/8 inch; the step often missed is verifying the gasket is fully compressed for a NEC-compliant seal.
Inspect the die-cast metal body and gray finish for corrosion, check the polyethylene foam gasket for compression set or cracking, and confirm the lockable tab still accepts a 1/8 inch shackle; replace the gasket if it no longer seals.
The polyethylene foam gasket will lose resilience before the die-cast metal body corrodes, reducing the weatherproof seal; once the gasket no longer compresses fully, the cover no longer meets its UL-listed rating.
