Pro-Wick Blue #4 Braid for desoldering

This desoldering braid uses rosin flux classified as ROL0 to remove solder from joints and pads. The blue coating identifies the #4 width of 0.098 in for medium-scale work. It meets IPC J-STD-004 and multiple NASA standards for high-reliability assembly and repair tasks.

Anti-static spool protects sensitive components

The ESD-safe bobbin prevents static discharge while you handle the braid near static-sensitive devices. Five feet of lead-free, flux-coated braid are supplied on the spool so you can cut the exact length needed for each joint without waste.

Check flux compatibility and width before ordering

Verify that rosin-based ROL0 flux is acceptable for your assembly process and cleaning regime. Confirm the 0.098 in braid width suits the pad spacing and component density on the boards you intend to rework.

Questions about this item

When will the 5 ft spool of #4 braid need replacing?

The spool holds 5 ft of 0.098 in wide braid; replace it once the length is fully consumed during desoldering work.

What limits continuous use of the rosin-flux braid first?

The 5 ft length on the ESD-safe bobbin is the limiting factor; when the braid runs out, wicking stops until a new spool is fitted.

Does the lead-free, ROL0-classified braid produce fumes or heat during all-day desoldering?

The braid itself generates no heat or noise; only the soldering iron creates heat, while the rosin flux may release typical soldering fumes.
