What this adapter set does

The four-piece kit converts a Lightning port on iPhone 15, 16 or 17 models to a USB-C connection so the phone can charge or sync data with a laptop. Each adapter carries a built-in 56 kΩ pull-up resistor for safer power delivery. The aluminium bodies measure 3.0 in by 1.5 in by 1.0 in and include non-slip silicone sleeves for cable grip.

What the bundle changes

Having four units lets you keep one at a desk, one in a travel bag, one in a car and one as a spare without buying separate packs. The sleeves help prevent the tiny adapters from disappearing inside pockets or laptop sleeves. No driver installation is required; the connection works immediately when plugged in.

What to verify before ordering

The adapters only support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer at up to 480 Mbps between phone and computer. They do not enable OTG functions such as flash drives, card readers, microphones, cameras, MIDI keyboards, HDMI converters or Apple Pencil. Lightning headphones and any accessory that needs audio or video pass-through will not work.

Questions about this item

Will the 56 K pull-up resistor inside each adapter wear out and need replacement?

The 56 K pull-up resistor is a passive component built into the adapter and does not wear out under normal use; the adapter itself requires no maintenance or scheduled replacement.

What limits sustained data transfers at 480 Mbps on these adapters?

The 480 Mbps ceiling is the USB 2.0 signalling rate of the Lightning-to-USB-C interface, so sustained transfers are capped by that bus speed rather than the adapter.

Do the adapters get hot or draw extra power when used all day for charging and syncing?

The adapters are passive with no active electronics, so they add negligible heat and no measurable power draw beyond what the connected devices negotiate.
