Stur-D-Stor five-shelf unit for heavy storage

The Tennsco LSS361872 provides five adjustable steel shelves in a sand finish. Each shelf supports up to 1,000 lbs for a total capacity of 4,000 lbs. Boltless assembly allows quick reconfiguration into a worktable layout. The unit meets ANSI/BIFMA standards and carries SCS Indoor Advantage Gold certification.

Sustained load performance across all five shelves

Industrial-grade particle board decks on a steel frame distribute weight evenly across the full 18.5" depth. Shelf heights adjust in 1 1/2" increments to match changing inventory profiles. The 25% total recycled content includes 19% post-consumer material without reducing the rated 1,000 lbs per shelf limit.

Boltless assembly and common installation issues

Components lock together without tools, so a single person can build the 72" high frame in minutes. Misaligned uprights are the main cause of uneven shelf seating; check each corner for square before adding decks. The 36.5" width fits standard aisle spacing but verify doorway clearance before final placement.

Questions about this item

Does the steel frame transmit vibration or hum when fully loaded to 4,000 lbs?

The boltless steel frame has no moving parts, so it produces no operational noise or vibration regardless of load.

What tools or fasteners must I already have to assemble the unit?

No tools or fasteners are required; the boltless design snaps together by hand.

Will the 18.5-inch depth align with standard 18-inch deep filing cabinets I already own?

The unit is 18.5 inches deep, so it extends half an inch beyond an 18-inch cabinet footprint.
