TES Electrical Electronic Corp.
Measures light from 20 to 20000 Lux with cosine correction and 0.01 Lux resolution
The TES-1330A is a handheld luminance meter built for electricians, lighting installers and facility managers who need quick illuminance checks. It covers four ranges from 20 to 20000 Lux with a 3 1/2 digit LCD readout. Cosine angular correction keeps readings accurate when light hits the sensor off-axis. A data-hold button freezes the display for note-taking.
The unit draws only a few milliwatts from a single 9V battery, so it runs cool and silent during extended surveys. No fan or active cooling is present, meaning zero acoustic disturbance in quiet environments. Operating temperature spans 0 to 40 °C with humidity below 70% RH. The low current draw supports long sessions without frequent battery swaps.
A fitted carrying case protects the meter and sensor during transport between job sites. The included 9V cell lets you start measuring immediately on arrival. An instruction manual explains range selection, hold functions and the analog output jack for external logging. These items remove the need to source power or protection separately.

Open the battery compartment on the rear, insert one 9V battery observing polarity, then close the cover securely; the step often missed is confirming the low-battery indicator is off before starting measurements.
Replace the 9V battery when the low-battery symbol appears, wipe the cosine-corrected sensor window with a soft dry cloth, and store the unit in its carrying case at 0 to 40 °C below 70 % RH to maintain ±2 % repeatability.
The 20000 Lux range tops out first — readings above full scale show only the highest digit (1) and the analog recorder output saturates at DC 2 V, so higher illuminance cannot be captured until light levels drop.
