Compact Portable Satellite Kit

The Tesla Electronics Starlink Mini Kit is a portable, all-in-one satellite internet system engineered by SpaceX. It integrates a Wi-Fi 5 router, kickstand, pipe adapter, power cable and power supply into a unit that fits in a backpack. The kit delivers maximum download speeds over 100 Mbps with low latency. Average power draw ranges from 25 to 40 watts.

Travellers Needing Quick Setup

This kit suits users who need high-speed internet in rural or remote areas and can deploy it with a clear view of the sky. Setup requires only plugging it in and pointing at the sky, managed via the Starlink app. It is not for buyers who cannot maintain an unobstructed sky view or who do not want a separate service plan. The integrated ethernet port allows connection to third-party routers or mesh systems.

Speeds Over 100 Mbps With Low Power

The system comfortably handles general browsing, streaming and video calls at speeds above 100 Mbps while consuming 25 to 40 watts on average. Performance drops when the sky view is obstructed by trees, buildings or heavy weather. The DC power input enables flexible power sourcing for mobile use. A compatible service plan must be selected and maintained for the connection to function.

Questions about this item

What satellite service subscription is required before the Starlink Mini Kit can connect?

An active Starlink service plan must be selected and activated; the hardware cannot reach the satellite constellation without a valid subscription.

Can I connect my existing Wi-Fi 5 mesh system to the Starlink Mini Kit's ethernet port?

Yes, the integrated router provides an ethernet port specifically for attaching third-party routers or mesh nodes that also use Wi-Fi 5.

How do I confirm the kit has locked onto satellites after I plug it in and point it at the sky?

Open the Starlink app — it will show a connected status and report download speeds exceeding 100 Mbps once the antenna has a clear view and acquires the constellation.
