36-Inch Carbon Grey Gear Clock

This wall clock measures 36 inches in diameter and features real moving gears that create a soft mechanical sound. The analog display uses Roman numerals on a round wooden face finished in carbon grey. It suits industrial, steampunk, vintage and farmhouse interiors.

Battery-Powered Movement

The clock mechanism runs on one AA battery while the gear train requires two additional AA batteries, three in total. No wiring or mains connection is needed so the unit can be hung on any suitable wall hook. The hands are delicate and should be handled carefully when unpacking.

Wall Fixing and Clearance

Verify that the mounting surface can support the clock’s 36-inch span and that there is enough flat space for the protruding gear assembly. Ensure you have three AA batteries available before installation. Buyers who want a smaller footprint should note this model is larger than the 24-inch version.

Questions about this item

How often will the three AA batteries need replacing to keep the real moving gears turning?

One AA powers the clock movement and two AAs drive the gear motor, so expect to change all three cells roughly together when the gears slow or stop.

What stops the gears from running continuously during an all-day display?

Battery drain is the first limit; the two gear-motor AAs deplete faster than the single clock cell, halting motion while the time hands may still run.

How loud is the gear noise and does the mechanism warm up after hours of operation?

The supplier describes a relaxing gear sound with no mention of audible ticking or heat build-up, and the low-voltage AA motor stays cool during continuous running.
