3-Pack EL Wire Multi-Colour Decor

This three-pack supplies three separate 3-foot electroluminescent wire strands, each glowing in red, pink, green, blue, white, purple or orange. The thin 2.3 mm tubes are flexible enough to shape around costumes, vehicle interiors or party displays. Rated for more than 12,000 hours of use, they operate reliably from -40°C to 80°C.

Power Source and Mounting Check

Each strand includes a controller that accepts USB, 12 V car cigarette lighter, battery pack or sound-activated input. Verify you have a free USB port, accessible 12 V socket or spare AA cells before ordering. The wire’s 2.3 mm diameter fits tight gaps, but confirm the mounting surface can hold adhesive clips or zip ties without damage.

Upgrade From Single-Colour Rope Light

Replaces fixed-colour rope lights that offer only one hue and no sound-reactive mode. The jump is worth it when you need multiple colours in one kit, thinner 2.3 mm tubing for detailed shapes, or a controller that pulses to music. Not suited for buyers who want longer continuous runs beyond 3 feet per strand or mains-powered installation without an adapter.

Questions about this item

What comes in the 3-pack and do I need to buy a controller separately?

The pack contains three 3-foot EL wire strings and each string includes its own controller supporting USB, car cigarette lighter, battery pack and sound-activated modes.

Should I choose the 3FT, 10FT or 15FT version for a car interior?

The 3FT length suits most car interiors; the 10FT and 15FT options are available if you need longer runs for larger vehicles or outdoor decoration.

How does the 12,000-hour lifetime hold up when the wire runs at 80 °C in a hot car?

The wire is rated for continuous operation from -40 °C to 80 °C, so the 12,000-hour lifetime applies even at the upper temperature limit.
