  • Molded strain relief protects joints from short-circuit damage
  • Compatible with car stereos, home amplifiers, laptops and PCs

Signal splitting adapter

This gold-plated RCA Y-adapter splits a single mono output into two female connections for car or home audio systems. It enables a subwoofer amplifier to receive signal from a head unit with only one preamp output. Oxygen-free copper twisted-pair conductors preserve signal integrity across the interconnect.

Sustained signal integrity

The twisted-pair geometry maintains consistent channel separation and noise rejection during continuous playback. Oxygen-free copper strands resist corrosion that would otherwise degrade conductivity over time. Gold-plated locking contacts sustain firm pressure without loosening, preventing intermittent connection loss under vibration.

Thermal and power behaviour

Passive copper construction draws no power and generates no heat during normal operation. Moulded strain relief protects solder joints from mechanical stress that causes shorts. No active cooling or external supply is required, so the adapter adds zero thermal load to the installation.

Questions about this item

Does the gold-plated OFC twisted-pair construction keep noise low when the Y-adapter runs all day in a car audio install?

Gold-plated RCA contacts with locking connectors maintain solid pressure, while oxygen-free copper twisted-pair wiring minimises corrosion and keeps each channel noise-free during extended use.

What connectors must my source and amplifiers already have for this 1 Male to 2 Female RCA Y-adapter to work?

Your source needs a single female RCA jack and each amplifier needs a male RCA plug; the adapter then splits the one signal into two female RCA outputs.

Will the molded strain relief on this Y-adapter survive repeated plugging into older RCA jacks on a legacy head unit?

The innovative molded strain relief protects the solder joints from bending stress, so the adapter holds up even when mated with older, tighter RCA sockets.
