Two polished aluminium die-cast contact sensors with magnets on adjustable brackets, 18" armored cables

The Wires Zone

The Wires Zone Overhead Garage Door Floor Alarm Switch Contact Sensor Track Mounted 2 Pack 18

SKU CH-6ST2-QB2HV

Two track-mounted magnetic contact sensors with 18" armored cables detect overhead garage door position

  • Overhead door contact switch closes the loop when magnet is near
  • Wide 3-inch operating gap reduces false alarms on garage doors
  • Sturdy polished aluminium die-cast housing withstands heavy-duty track use
  • Magnet on adjustable bracket simplifies alignment during installation
  • 18-inch PVC cable with armoured sleeve protects wiring from damage

Garage Door Contact Switch

The Wires Zone contact switch detects when an overhead garage door opens or closes. A magnet on an adjustable bracket pairs with the switch body to complete or break a circuit. Two units are included for dual-door installations or spare coverage.

Die-Cast Housing and Track Mount

Sturdy polished aluminum die-cast housing protects the switch mechanism from impact and weather. The track-mounted design fastens directly to the garage door rail without extra brackets. An 18" long PVC cable with an armored sleeve resists abrasion and pinching during daily door movement.

Adjustable Magnet and Wide Gap

The magnet mounts on an adjustable bracket that tolerates a wide 3" operating gap. This reduces false alarms caused by vibration or slight door misalignment. When the magnet sits next to the switch the loop stays closed; when the door lifts the magnet pulls away and the loop opens.

Questions about this item

What type of connection does the floor alarm switch use and what does it signal?

The sensor uses an 18" PVC cable with an armored sleeve; the loop is closed when the magnet is next to the switch and opens when the magnet is pulled away.

What mounting hardware is included for the track-mounted contact sensor?

Each unit includes a magnet mounted on an adjustable bracket and a sturdy polished aluminum die-cast housing for track mounting.

How is the switch installed and what alignment step is critical?

Mount the switch housing on the track and the magnet on the door via the adjustable bracket; set the gap within the wide 3" operating distance so the loop closes when the door is shut.
