Purpose & Audience

The Thermaltake TH420 V2 Ultra EX ARGB is a 420mm all-in-one liquid cooler built for medium to large chassis. It targets builders who want a single integrated loop with three 140mm fans and a magnetic daisy-chain system that reduces cable clutter.

Bundled Extras

A 2.1-inch TFT-LCD water block with 480x480 resolution displays real-time system data or custom graphics via TT RGB PLUS 2.0 software. The MagForce 2.0 magnetic quick-connect design uses larger pogo-pin pads to simplify fan alignment and speed up installation.

Deciding Spec

The cooler supports Intel LGA 1700 and 1851 sockets plus AMD AM5, so it fits current mainstream desktop platforms. Builders with older socket types or cases that cannot mount a 420mm radiator will need a different solution.

Questions about this item

Will the three CT140 EX ARGB Sync fans need replacing after long use?

The fans are built into the MagForce 2.0 magnetic daisy-chain system; if a fan fails the magnetic pogo-pin contacts allow that single unit to be swapped without rewiring the whole loop.

Which component reaches its limit first during continuous load?

The pump motor is rated to 3300 RPM, so sustained heavy thermal loads will hit the pump’s maximum speed before the 420 mm radiator surface area becomes the bottleneck.

How much noise and heat does the 2.1-inch LCD water block add when the system runs all day?

The LCD draws minimal power and produces negligible heat; overall noise is governed by the three 140 mm fans and the 3300 RPM pump rather than the display itself.
