TV bias lighting for 32 to 55 inch screens

The Thomasville Lighting SSG-104 kit provides an 11.5ft LED strip designed to fit televisions from 32 to 55 inches. It draws 5 watts from a USB port and adds ambient colour behind the display to reduce eye strain in dark rooms. The strip is rated for indoor use and carries FCC ID 2A3LMSSG-402.

Remote and Bluetooth app with music sync

A handheld remote and the Lofur Lanfern mobile app connect via Bluetooth to control 16 million colours and over 20 dynamic modes. A built-in microphone on the controller captures sound in real time so the lights react to music or programme audio. The mini receiver hides behind the TV for a clean installation.

USB power limits length and brightness

The 5 V USB supply caps total power at 5 watts, which restricts maximum brightness and keeps the 11.5ft run from voltage drop. The kit is not designed for outdoor installation despite the supplier listing, and the adhesive foam tabs are intended for a single, permanent mount on a flat TV rear.

Questions about this item

Will the adhesive or clips on the 11.5ft strip need replacing over time?

The kit includes stronger foam adhesive and clips for a secure fit on the TV. If the adhesive loses grip, the strip can be reattached using the supplied clips or standard double-sided tape.

What limits continuous operation of the 5-watt USB-powered lights?

The 5V USB supply and 5-watt draw keep heat extremely low, so the main limit is the USB port's current rating rather than thermal throttling.

How much heat or fan noise does the 5-watt strip produce during all-day use?

The LED strip runs on 5 watts via USB and is described as extremely low heat, with no fan and no audible noise during extended operation.
