What this filter is and who needs it

The Tiffen 43HZE is a 43mm UV Haze 1 camera filter designed for photographers who want to reduce ultraviolet light and the bluish cast common in daylight, high-altitude or water-side scenes. It adds no extra colour or contrast so it can stay on the lens or be stacked with other filters. Photographers whose lenses use a different thread size cannot use this filter.

Build quality and daily handling

Each filter uses ColorCore construction: the substrate is laminated between two pieces of optical glass, ground flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch and mounted in a precision metal ring. The clear glass protects the front element from dust, moisture and accidental scratches while remaining neutral enough for everyday use. The metal ring threads cleanly onto any 43mm lens barrel.

The specification that decides fit

The only measurement that determines compatibility is the 43mm thread size; the filter fits any camera lens with that exact thread diameter. If your lens shows a different thread size this filter will not mount.
