Capacity and fit

The Timetec 128GB internal SSD uses a 2.5-inch, 7mm form factor and a SATA III 6Gb/s interface. It suits desktops and laptops that accept a standard 2.5-inch SATA drive. The drive is backward compatible with SATA II and SATA I ports. Supported operating systems include Windows 7 through Windows 11, macOS 10.4 or later and Linux kernel 2.6.33 or later.

Sustained performance

Sequential read reaches up to 520 MB/s and sequential write up to 490 MB/s according to the specification table. The manufacturer highlights quote slightly higher peaks of 550 MB/s read and 500 MB/s write with SLC cache assistance. SLC caching and 3D NAND flash help maintain throughput during longer workloads. TRIM, garbage collection and wear-leveling work together to preserve consistent speed over time.

Thermals and power

Low power consumption is cited as a design goal for longer battery life in notebooks. No active cooling is required because the drive has no moving parts. S.M.A.R.T. monitoring and ECC error correction support data integrity without adding thermal load. The 1,000,000-hour MTBF and 1,500,000-hour MTTF ratings reflect the expected reliability under normal operating conditions.
