Connection Splitter

This 3.5mm TRS stereo male to dual 6.35mm TS mono female Y-splitter cable converts a single 3.5mm output into separate left and right channel connections. The .6ft adapter links smartphones, laptops or PCs to mixers, speakers or home stereo systems that require dual 6.35mm inputs. Gold-plated plugs and an aluminium alloy shell aim to minimise signal loss.

Device Compatibility

The cable suits users who need to split a stereo 3.5mm source into two mono 6.35mm channels for professional audio gear or older hi-fi equipment. It will not work for anyone requiring a combined stereo 6.35mm TRS connection, a longer reach than .6ft, or a microphone pass-through on the 3.5mm plug.

Connector Configuration

The Y-splitter terminates in two 6.35mm TS mono female jacks labelled for left and right channels, while the source end uses a single 3.5mm TRS stereo male plug. This fixed wiring determines whether the adapter matches the input and output sockets on the target equipment.

Questions about this item

Does the 0.6 ft cable generate any heat or noise when connected all day?

The passive 0.6 ft adapter has no electronics, so it produces no heat and no audible noise during continuous use.

What connectors must my source and destination devices already have for this splitter to work?

Your source needs a 3.5 mm TRS stereo output and each destination needs a 6.35 mm TS mono input.

Will the 3.5 mm male plug and dual 6.35 mm female jacks mate reliably with older 1/4 inch and 1/8 inch gear?

Yes, the 3.5 mm TRS male and two 6.35 mm TS female connectors follow the standard 1/8 inch and 1/4 inch dimensions used on legacy audio equipment.
