Complete repair kit for windows and doors

The TOOLTRIZ kit supplies a 48 by 118 inch gray fiberglass mesh plus a roller tool, spline, knife, hook and ruler. Everything needed to replace a torn screen arrives in one package. The manufacturer states the job can be finished in about 10 minutes using the four-step instructions included.

Upgrade from makeshift patches or partial fixes

Roll-out repairs with tape or undersized mesh often sag and let insects through. This kit provides a full-size replacement sheet and the correct .15 inch spline that fits most standard frames, eliminating the guesswork of matching components.

Suits DIY owners repairing standard window

Homeowners who want a single purchase for complete screen replacement will find the parts matched and ready. Builders needing custom dimensions, heavier pet-resistant mesh or commercial-grade aluminium frames should look at specialised alternatives.

Questions about this item

What size window or door opening will the 48" x 118" fiberglass mesh cover?

The 48" x 118" mesh fits openings up to that width and height; trim the excess after the spline is seated.

Which step of the four-step install do DIYers most often miss when using the included roller and .15" spline?

Rolling the spline into the groove with even pressure all the way around so the mesh stays taut and wrinkle-free.

How long before the gray fiberglass screen typically needs replacement under normal sun exposure?

The manufacturer rates the fiberglass mesh for at least five years of service before it should be replaced.
