Replacement Lamp for Toshiba Projectors

This new Toshiba TY-G3U module arrives as a fully assembled bulb and housing ready for direct installation. It fits Toshiba projectors that specify the TY-G3U part number, also referenced as TLPL2. The unit is manufactured to ISO 9001 quality standards using OEM-sourced components.

120 Watt Power and 2000 Hour Rating

The lamp draws 120 W and is rated for 2,000 hours of typical use. Brightness will gradually decline over that period, and the projector may signal replacement before the maximum hour count is reached. Actual life varies with operating mode, ambient temperature and power-cycle frequency.

OEM or Compatible Version Shipped

Depending on stock, the shipment will be an OEM lamp from Philips, Osram, Ushio, Phoenix, Iwasaki or Matsushita, a Toshiba-branded OEM unit, or a third-party compatible built with genuine OEM parts. Buyers who require a specific bulb manufacturer cannot select the version at purchase.

Questions about this item

Which TY-G3U version should I choose for my Toshiba projector?

Four versions are offered: three OEM types — direct from the original bulb maker, sold by Toshiba, or from another OEM bulb manufacturer — plus a compatible version built with genuine OEM parts. All meet ISO 9001 quality checks for ignition, voltage, beam performance and run-time.

What does the 120 W rating mean once the lamp is installed?

The 120 W bulb draws that power during operation, delivering the brightness the projector was designed for while matching the original thermal and electrical requirements.

Does the lamp use a standard interface that could limit compatibility?

The module ships as a complete bulb-and-housing assembly made for the Toshiba TY-G3U (TLPL2) projector, so it fits the proprietary socket and alignment without adapters.
