2.4 GHz outdoor access point with 9 dBi directional antenna delivering up to 300 Mbps over 5 km links
The TP-Link CPE210 is a 2.4 GHz wireless access point built for long-range outdoor connections. Its integrated 9 dBi dual-polarised directional antenna focuses signal into a 65° horizontal and 35° vertical beam. Passive PoE on the main Ethernet port simplifies installation where mains power is unavailable. The IPX5-rated enclosure withstands rain and dust in exposed locations.
Wireless throughput tops out at 300 Mbps when the radio operates at 40 MHz channel width. Narrower 20 MHz, 10 MHz and 5 MHz modes reduce the peak rate to 144.4 Mbps, 72.2 Mbps and 36.1 Mbps respectively. The 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports then become the practical bottleneck for any traffic leaving the device. Pharos MAXtream TDMA can be enabled to improve airtime efficiency on busy links.
The 27 dBm transmit power and 9 dBi gain combine to deliver usable signal beyond 5 km when both ends have unobstructed Fresnel zones. Receiver sensitivity reaches -96 dBm at the lowest 802.11b rates, so marginal links still pass management frames. Throughput drops sharply once the Ethernet port saturates at 100 Mbps or when heavy rain attenuates the 2.4 GHz signal. Not suited for indoor multi-room coverage or client densities that exceed the radio's single-stream capacity.

The 300 Mbps figure is the maximum PHY rate on a 40 MHz channel using 802.11n MIMO; actual TCP throughput will be lower and depends on distance, interference and the 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports.
Both LAN0 and LAN1 are 10/100 Mbps ports, so the wired link caps at 100 Mbps full-duplex even though the wireless PHY can reach 300 Mbps.
The enclosure measures 224 × 79 × 60 mm (H × W × D) and includes a pole-mount bracket; it requires a mast diameter that accepts the supplied U-bolts and a clear line-of-sight within the 65° horizontal by 35° vertical beam.
