Wall- or ceiling-mountable Wi-Fi 6 access point delivers up to 1775 Mbps combined throughput with four spatial streams and supports high-density client loads via OFDMA and MU-MIMO
The TP-Link EAP620 HD is a wireless access point built for high-density environments such as offices, schools and hospitality venues. It uses Wi-Fi 6 with 802.11ax technologies including OFDMA and MU-MIMO to serve many simultaneous clients. The unit mounts on a wall or ceiling and integrates with the Omada SDN platform for centralised management.
This access point suits organisations that need to connect a large number of devices in a concentrated area and want cloud-managed control. It is not intended for small home networks with only a few clients, nor for installers who require outdoor-rated hardware or standalone operation without a controller.
The radio delivers up to 1775 Mbps aggregate throughput, split as 1201 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 574 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band. Four spatial streams and 1024 QAM provide headroom for dense multi-user traffic such as VoIP and video conferencing. Performance will taper off when client counts exceed the radio's multi-user scheduling capacity or when backhaul bandwidth becomes the bottleneck.
