Ultra-Slim Wi-Fi 6 Access Point

The TP-Link Festa F61 is a compact wireless access point built for small businesses, hotels, classrooms and cafés. It delivers dual-band Wi-Fi 6 speeds up to 1800 Mbps using 1024-QAM and Long OFDM Symbol technology. Four spatial streams increase multi-user throughput for demanding environments. Cloud management via the Festa app removes the need for on-site IT expertise.

Practical limits of cloud management

This unit operates exclusively through the Festa Cloud platform and does not work with TP-Link Omada Controllers. Standalone mode is not supported, so an internet connection is required for configuration and monitoring. Power options include 802.3af PoE, 48V Passive PoE and the supplied 12V/1A DC adapter for flexible deployment. Mesh WiFi, Seamless Roaming and WPA3 are managed from the single cloud interface.

AX1800 dual-band throughput

The decisive specification is the combined wireless rate of 1800 Mbps, split as 1201 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. Buyers needing higher aggregate throughput or local controller integration should evaluate other product lines. This model targets installations where cloud simplicity and ultra-slim form factor outweigh maximum raw speed.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 574 Mbps 2.4 GHz band or the 1201 Mbps 5 GHz band for my Festa F61?

The AP uses both bands simultaneously; 2.4 GHz reaches farther through walls while 5 GHz delivers higher throughput for nearby devices.

What does the AX1800 label mean for actual throughput on the Festa F61?

AX1800 is the combined theoretical ceiling of 1201 Mbps on 5 GHz plus 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz; real-world speeds will be lower due to overhead and interference.

How does 802.3af PoE limit power options for the Festa F61?

The unit accepts 802.3af PoE, 48 V passive PoE or the bundled 12 V/1 A DC adapter, so any of those sources will power it.
