Wall-Plate AC1200 Access Point

The TP-Link Festa is a wall-plate wireless access point delivering AC1200 dual-band Wi-Fi. It provides up to 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 867 Mbps on 5 GHz. Four Gigabit ports include one PoE passthrough for powering downstream devices. Cloud management via the Festa app enables zero-touch setup and remote monitoring.

Suits Managed Cloud Deployments

This unit fits small businesses wanting centralised cloud control without on-premise controllers. It is not for buyers who need Omada or standalone controller integration. It also suits environments needing a single PoE-powered downlink. Builders requiring multiple PoE output ports should look elsewhere.

AC1200 Dual-Band Throughput

The decisive specification is the combined 1.2 Gbps wireless rate split across two bands. That ceiling determines whether the AP meets the capacity needs of a typical office cubicle or hotel room. If the application demands higher aggregate throughput, this model will not suffice.

Questions about this item

What wall-box size does the Festa wall-plate access point fit?

It mounts in a standard single-gang wall box and covers the opening with a low-profile faceplate.

How do I power the unit and what is the common wiring mistake?

Connect the uplink cable to the PoE-in port; the PoE pass-through downlink port is for powering another device, not for the uplink.

When should I replace the faceplate or mounting hardware?

Replace the faceplate if it cracks or the mounting tabs snap; the internal electronics are solid-state and need no scheduled replacement.
