360° Fisheye Coverage

The TP-Link InSight S655I is a 5 megapixel indoor network camera that uses a 1.44 mm fixed fisheye lens to capture a full 360° panoramic view. It records at 2560 x 1920 resolution at 30 fps and supports H.265+, H.265, H.264, H.264+, H.264H and H.265M compression. Integrated infrared LEDs provide night vision up to 32.81 ft. This single unit replaces multiple conventional cameras for wide-area monitoring.

Wide-Area Indoor Monitoring

This camera suits installers who need complete room coverage from a single mounting point, such as retail floors, offices or lobbies. The 4-in-1 display modes including 4PTZ let operators view four virtual PTZ streams simultaneously. Buyers who require long-distance identification, varifocal zoom or outdoor weather resistance should look at alternative form factors designed for those specific needs.

1.44 mm Fixed Fisheye Lens

The 1.44 mm fixed lens determines the ultra-wide 360° field of view and the fixed focus distance. It cannot be adjusted for narrower angles or optical zoom after installation. Verify that the resulting pixel density at your target distance meets identification requirements before purchase.

Questions about this item

What network video recorder or VMS supports H.265+ streams at 2560 x 1920 for this camera?

Any NVR or VMS that accepts H.265+, H.265, H.264, H.264+ or H.264H at 2560 x 1920 resolution and 30 fps will record the S655I stream.

Can the 1.44 mm fisheye lens be de-warped on a recorder that only handles standard rectilinear feeds?

The camera outputs a native 360° fisheye image; de-warping must be performed by the NVR, VMS or client software — a recorder limited to rectilinear feeds cannot correct the view.

How do I verify the 32.81 ft infrared range is working after mounting the camera?

In darkness, confirm the IR LEDs illuminate and that objects at the rated distance appear clearly in the 2560 x 1920 preview without glare, thanks to Smart IR adjustment.
