Dual-band Wi-Fi range extender covers up to 14,000 square feet with 2600 Mbps total speed and four adjustable antennas
The TP-Link RE650 is a dual-band wireless range extender and media bridge that plugs directly into a wall outlet. It expands an existing Wi-Fi network across an area of up to 14,000 square feet. The unit supports IEEE 802.11ac and earlier 802.11 standards with a combined bandwidth of 2600 Mbps. Four adjustable external antennas let you direct coverage where it is needed most.
Home users who need stronger Wi-Fi for streaming, gaming or smart-home devices will benefit from the MU-MIMO capability and the Gigabit Ethernet port for wired clients. Buyers who require a mesh system with a dedicated backhaul channel should consider other solutions. The extender also does not add a second 5 GHz radio for simultaneous high-speed client and backhaul traffic.
The extender provides 1733 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 2.4 GHz operation in a single device. If your router cannot supply a strong enough signal at the chosen outlet, the intelligent signal indicator helps you relocate it for better performance.
