A 5-port desktop switch adds wired connections for laptops, consoles or printers with plug-and-play setup and fanless quiet operation
The TL-SF1005D adds five 10/100 Mbps RJ45 ports to a router or modem, giving wired connections to laptops, consoles or printers. It draws power from a 100-240 VAC supply and operates silently thanks to a fanless design. The compact 4.1" x 2.8" x 0.9" case sits on any desk or shelf. No configuration is required before use.
Every port supports Auto-MDI/MDIX so straight-through or crossover cables both work without manual setup. IEEE 802.3x flow control manages full-duplex traffic while backpressure handles half-duplex links. The store-and-forward switching method checks each packet before forwarding. Energy-efficient technology reduces consumption by up to 60% based on link status and cable length.
Home or small-office users who need extra Ethernet ports for 10/100 Mbps devices will find it adequate. Buyers requiring Gigabit speeds, VLAN segmentation, PoE power or managed features should look at a different switch. The unmanaged Layer 2 design offers no configuration interface or traffic prioritisation. Operating temperature ranges from 0°C to 40°C.

The switch has no moving parts and no fan, so there are no components that wear out or require scheduled replacement.
Each port caps at 200 Mbps full-duplex throughput, so the 10/100 Mbps link speed is the limiting factor before the non-blocking fabric saturates.
It draws power from a 100~240 VAC supply, uses energy-efficient technology that can cut consumption by up to 60 %, and operates silently at 0 °C to 40 °C.
