4MP turret network camera

The TP-Link VIGI InSight S445ZI captures 2688 x 1520 video at 30 fps through a 2.70-13.50 mm motorized varifocal lens with 5x optical zoom. Infrared illumination reaches 196.85 ft for night monitoring. An IP67-rated turret housing withstands outdoor exposure. Smart detection distinguishes humans and vehicles to reduce false alerts.

Sustained recording efficiency

H.265+ and H.265 compression lower bit-rate during continuous streaming compared with older codecs. True WDR balances high-contrast scenes frame by frame without dropping the 30 fps rate. Motorized zoom adjustments can be made remotely while recording continues. Two-way audio and flexible alarm integration operate alongside the video stream without interrupting capture.

Varifocal lens range

The 2.70 mm to 13.50 mm focal-length span sets the field-of-view limits for every installation. Buyers who need a wider angle than 2.70 mm or a longer reach than 13.50 mm must choose a different lens specification.

Questions about this item

Does the S445ZI turret camera run silently and stay cool during continuous recording?

The camera has no moving parts beyond the motorised varifocal lens, so operation is silent; its IP67-rated enclosure dissipates heat passively for all-day use.

What power source and network infrastructure must I already have to install this camera?

The unit requires a PoE switch or injector for power and data over a single Ethernet cable, plus a VIGI-compatible NVR or the VIGI app for recording and management.

Will the S445ZI work alongside my older 1080p cameras on the same NVR?

Yes — it streams H.265+, H.265, H.264+ and H.264 at 2688×1520, codecs supported by most modern NVRs, so mixed-resolution recording is possible.
