24 V 96 W adapter for Orbit Marine Pro

This 24 volt AC/DC power supply delivers 96 watts at 4 amps through a barrel connector. It is designed for aquarium keepers who need a direct replacement for the original Current USA Orbit Marine Pro LED fixture power unit. The adapter accepts standard mains input and provides regulated 24 volt DC output.

Barrel connector ensures fixture compatibility

The included barrel plug matches the fixture’s power port so no rewiring or adapter cables are required. A corded electric design means the unit plugs straight into a wall socket, eliminating the need for a separate power brick or inline transformer. This keeps the installation tidy above the tank.

96 watt output decides fixture coverage

The 96 watt rating determines which Orbit Marine Pro models the adapter can drive, covering the 18 to 60 inch fixture range listed in the compatibility data. Buyers whose fixtures exceed this wattage or use a different voltage will need a different power supply.

Questions about this item

How often does the barrel connector on the Gm85-240400-D need replacing under daily aquarium use?

The barrel connector is a passive component with no moving parts; it typically lasts the life of the adapter unless physically damaged.

What limits continuous 24 V / 4 A output on this 96 W unit during 24/7 reef lighting?

Thermal protection will reduce output if the case temperature exceeds the internal safety threshold during sustained full-load operation.

How much heat does the Gm85-240400-D emit when powering a Current USA Orbit Marine Pro 4112 fixture all day?

At 96 W output the adapter dissipates roughly 10–15 W as heat; the enclosure stays warm but remains within normal operating limits for corded power supplies.
