What It Is

The Transition Networks WMBM is a pair of 3.3-inch wall-mount brackets designed to secure a single Mini Media Converter to any flat surface. Network installers and IT teams use them when rack space is unavailable or when a converter must sit close to the fiber or copper drop.

Practical Limits

Each bracket is a simple tab that holds one converter only; the two-pack does not create a multi-unit shelf. The 84 mm depth suits the Mini series form factor, so larger Transition Networks chassis will not fit. No screws or anchors are included, so the mounting surface must accept your own fasteners.

Installation Notes

Mounting takes minutes: align the tab, mark holes, drill, and fasten the bracket before snapping the converter into place. The most common issue is discovering that the wall material requires different anchors than the installer has on hand. Verify converter model compatibility before drilling.

Questions about this item

Should I buy the 2-pack or look for single brackets?

The WMBM is sold only as a 2-pack; each bracket holds one Transition Networks mini media converter, so the pack covers two units.

Will a 3.3" bracket fit my mini converter without overhang?

The bracket measures 3.3 inches (84 mm) wide, matching the footprint of Transition Networks Mini Media Converters for a flush wall mount.

What mounting standard does the WMBM use?

The WMBM uses simple tab-style brackets that screw directly to a wall or surface; no VESA, DIN-rail or rack standard is involved.
