Right-angle composite cable

The Traovien TRV-RCA-100068 is a 1.5 m composite AV cable with three colour-coded RCA connectors in red, white and yellow. Its 90 degree right-angle male plugs fit tight spaces behind set-top boxes, DVD players, VCRs or amplifiers where straight plugs would foul adjacent ports or cabinet walls. The male-to-female configuration extends an existing RCA lead without adding a separate coupler.

Composite bandwidth ceiling

Composite video carries a single standard-definition channel limited to roughly 480i or 576i resolution, so the cable cannot transmit high-definition or progressive-scan signals. Audio is restricted to two-channel analogue stereo through the red and white conductors. Gold-plated contacts resist corrosion, yet the fundamental bandwidth ceiling remains that of the composite standard itself.

90 degree connector orientation

The defining specification is the 90 degree right-angle male connector, which decides whether the cable fits behind your equipment. If the rear panel clearance is too shallow for a straight plug, this right-angle design solves the problem; if straight plugs fit comfortably, the angled shape offers no advantage and may even route the cable in an awkward direction.

Questions about this item

What does the 90° angle on this TRV-RCA-100068 cable do for me?

The right-angle connectors let the plugs sit flush against the device, saving space behind TVs or set-top boxes and reducing strain on the ports.

How does the 1.5 m length perform in a real setup?

At 1.5 metres the cable reaches from a set-top box or DVD player to a nearby TV without excess slack, keeping composite video and stereo audio signals clean.

What does the male-to-female RCA interface actually connect?

Three male plugs on one end mate with female ports on your source device, while the three female sockets on the other end accept standard male RCA leads from a display or amplifier.
