Upgrade from Basic Emergency Radios

This model replaces simple single-band or fixed-antenna units by adding dual-band tuning, DSP-assisted reception and a rotatable antenna for clearer signals indoors and out. The jump is worth it when you need reliable AM talk and FM music without mains power or a bulky chassis.

Ideal for Walkers, Campers and Emergency Kits

The lightweight clip-on design suits anyone wanting one-handed listening on a run, hike or in a power cut. Buyers who want Bluetooth streaming, rechargeable cells, weather-band alerts or digital station presets should look at other devices.

Questions about this item

How much pocket space does the 5.0 x 2.8 x 1.4 in radio need?

The TRELC T-08 measures 5.0 by 2.8 by 1.4 inches and weighs 4.5 ounces, so it fits in a shirt pocket or small pouch; a back clip and lanyard are included for belt or neck carry.

What is the first step when installing the 2 AA batteries?

Open the battery compartment, insert two AA cells matching the polarity markings, then close the cover; the radio has no internal rechargeable pack, so fresh alkalines are required before first use.

When should the telescopic antenna be replaced?

The rotating telescopic antenna is built into the chassis and not user-replaceable; if it bends or the signal degrades permanently, the whole unit would need service.
